Dousse Nuit /Holey Night

Dousse nuit, holey night is a dance and live music project inspired by Christmas, presented at Tangente from 21 to 27 October 2019. Through the study of movement derived from traditions linked to this mythical night, we highlight how this event reproduces and regulates our socialised bodies. Our starting points are the clothes, accessories and objects associated with this celebration, which guide our explorations: garlands of lights, stale presents, abandoned dry fir trees, roast turkey and other protagonists will be put to the test.  Not forgetting, of course, the mythical avatar with rosy cheeks and a white beard, reigning over Arctic lands, shopping centres and Val-David...
